How hiring works at AIIMS, ESIC and railway hospitals

Each central employer recruits through its own notification, exam or interview. Knowing which one saves you from missing a last date.

Who this is for

Nurses, doctors, pharmacists and technicians looking at central government jobs.

Steps

  1. 1AIIMS: Nursing Officers through NORCET, other posts through AIIMS notifications.
  2. 2ESIC: posts are advertised on the ESIC site, with some roles by walk-in or contract.
  3. 3Railways: paramedical posts (including staff nurse) through the Railway Recruitment Boards' notifications.
  4. 4Bookmark the official recruitment page of each, and set a HealthOpenings alert for government jobs.

Common mistakes

  • Paying "agents" for a promised seat. Government posts are filled only through the official process.
  • Fees, dates and eligibility change every cycle: read the latest official notification before you apply.
