Gulf health licensing: what to check before you apply
Each Gulf health regulator licenses you separately, and several use Prometric for their exams. Your employer usually sponsors the process.

Who this is for
Nurses, doctors, pharmacists and technicians planning to work in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman or Bahrain.
Steps
- 1Find out which regulator licenses your target country or emirate, and read its requirements.
- 2Check whether your degree and experience meet its rules, and whether it asks for an exam.
- 3Book exams only through the official regulator or Prometric website.
- 4Get your documents attested in the order required (see the attestation guide).
- 5Accept a job only with a written offer from a named employer.
Common mistakes
- Paying an agent for "licence guaranteed". Licensing is decided only by the regulator.
- Starting attestation before knowing which documents the regulator wants.
