The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accredits hospitals against published standards. For a nurse or allied health professional, accreditation is one useful signal when comparing employers, though it is not the only one.

How to check a hospital
- Search for the hospital on the NABH website (nabh.co). Each accredited hospital has a certificate with its validity dates, bed count and scope of services.
- Check the validity date: certificates expire and must be renewed.
- Match the certificate to the right branch. A group can have both accredited and non-accredited hospitals.
- Compare the bed count on the certificate with the hospital’s own claims.
