Who this is for

Students after Class 10 or 12, and nurses planning to upgrade.

Steps

  1. 1ANM and GNM are diploma routes. B.Sc. nursing is a degree. Post-Basic B.Sc. is for GNM nurses who want a degree.
  2. 2M.Sc. nursing opens teaching, specialist and leadership roles.
  3. 3Check that the college is recognised by INC and the state council, and that the state allows admission through its counselling or exam.
  4. 4Read admission notices from your state government or university for the entrance route and last date.

Common mistakes

  • Paying a college before checking INC and state recognition.
  • Choosing a course without checking whether the jobs you want ask for the degree.
